Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Timur Sirozevich Sadykov - Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City reviewed the more than a millennium of formation and development of Russia. At the same time, he emphasized the increasingly strong traditional friendship between Russia and Vietnam, nurtured by comradeship and deep mutual support.
Mr. Timur Sadykov affirmed that recent high-level visits, especially the visit to Vietnam by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2024 and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin earlier this year, clearly demonstrated the special bond between the two countries.
"We highly appreciate the fact that the Vietnamese high-ranking leadership visited Moscow to attend the Victory Parade in the Great Patriotic War last May, a testament to the similarity of views between the two countries on core issues of the global political situation," he said.
On behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation, Consul General Sadykov expressed his gratitude to the government and people of Ho Chi Minh City for their active cooperation and warm affection for the Consulate General of the Russian Federation. He believed that with joint efforts, the two countries will continue to achieve development goals for the common interests of the people of both sides, while contributing to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
