Fierce debate in the 2025 best lineup

The Professional Footballers' Association (FIFPro) has just announced its team of the year and created debate on social networks.

There were mixed opinions on social media when the Professional Footballers' Association chose a 3-4-3 formation but put 2 full-backs Hakimi and Mendes next to Virgil Van Dijk. In midfield, options like Jude Bellingham and Cole Palmer were not really convincing.

The Brazilian has been overlooked despite a stellar season with 38 goals, 23 assists and a domestic treble for Barcelona. Meanwhile, FIFPro’s pick, Cole Palmer, has been in a distinct slump since the start of the year and has been plagued by injuries.

Even the arrival of Jude Bellingham has caused fans to complain, as the Englishman had a 2024/25 season with just 12 goals, 11 assists and no major trophies, except for the European Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
