Presenting 1,000 gifts to support people affected by floods

HNN.VN - On November 20, the Hue City Red Cross Society distributed 1,000 gifts to support households affected and damaged by the recent exceptionally heavy rain and floods. The funding was allocated by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee from the program "Joining hands to overcome floods", aiming to promptly help people stabilize their lives after natural disasters.

According to the plan, each household will receive 1 million VND in cash. The distribution will take place directly at the People's Committees of the following communes and wards: Huong An, Phong Thai, Phong Phu, Phong Dinh, Phu Xuan, Hoa Chau, Kim Long and Phu Ho. The total budget for this support period is 1 billion VND. The localities will organize the handover at the headquarters of the People's Committees of wards and communes, divided into time slots during the day for the convenience of people to receive.

The leader of the Hue Red Cross Society said that in addition to providing direct support to the people, the program also aims to spread the spirit of solidarity and sharing in the community. The timely participation of the Central Society and the city demonstrates social responsibility, and at the same time contributes to giving people more confidence in rebuilding their lives after natural disasters.
