Leaders of the Provincial Women's Union and the District Women's Union presented breeding chickens to the members of the Cooperative.
In the first phase, the Provincial Women's Union gave 3,000 breeding chickens and 2,000 kg of mixed feed to members to develop their flocks and sell meat to increase their family income. Up to now, the Provincial Women's Union has completed giving 5,000 breeding chickens and animal feed to the integrated livestock cooperative run by women in Cam Thanh commune.
On average, in both batches of chicks, each household received 250 chickens and 100 kg of mixed feed. This is a collective economic model of production according to the food safety value chain of the Food Safety Program.
Members of the integrated livestock farming cooperative led by women participating in the management of Cam Thanh commune have been trained in techniques, disease prevention for livestock, and instructions on how to build barns...
The first batch of chickens given to a member of the THT was partly kept to continue re-herding and breeding.
After raising chickens, each household leaves 10 to 20 hens to continue multiplying and reproducing. Some members of the Cooperative have collected the multiplied chickens and given them to some poor households that are not Cooperative members, in order to support members and poor women to increase their income.
