The 2025 Tuoi Xanh Photo Contest is organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training in collaboration with Tuoi Tre newspaper, Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company (SEDIDCO) and Viet Hong Import-Export Joint Stock Company (exclusive distributor of Nikon in Vietnam).
With the theme "Portrait of my city from a young perspective", the Tuoi Xanh photo contest has created a creative playground for high school students, inspiring the spirit of observation, perception and recording beautiful moments in school life and society.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Huynh Le Nhu Trang - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City - emphasized that many of the photos submitted this year expressed the deep emotions and impressive perspectives of the students.
In particular, the students observed, felt and recorded modern architectural works such as the metro system in the context of celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
Appreciating the subtlety in the way the students conveyed the story of the city that is striving to innovate, through a personal and emotional lens, she added: "This is the foundation for students to continue to practice their observation and composition skills and nurture their passion for photography, thereby creating quality products with their own mark."
In the final results, the secondary school board recorded 1 first prize, 6 second prizes, 10 third prizes and 33 consolation prizes. The first prize belonged to Nguyen Dinh Gia Huy, an 8th grade student at Le Thanh Tong Secondary School (District 8).
The High School Board has 1 first prize, 5 second prizes, 10 third prizes and 34 consolation prizes. The first prize belongs to student Nguyen Le Kim Ngan, grade 12, Binh Tan High School (Binh Tan District).

The Tuoi Xanh photo contest contributes to enhancing students' practical skills in the process of studying the elective subject of photography, while opening a creative playground for them to preserve beautiful images of their teachers, friends and school.
Through listening and purposeful observation, students gradually develop the ability to perceive aesthetics and discover new changes in life from their own perspective. From there, they demonstrate dynamism and creativity - valuable qualities of youth.
The Youth Photography Contest is not only a place for students to feel the fresh beauty of life, the harmony between humans and nature, between the past and the present, but also an opportunity to spread a beautiful lifestyle through each frame created by the students themselves.

Nurturing the seeds of creativity
The photo contest for students has truly become a unique artistic playground, where students can express their emotions, thoughts and feelings through creative frames.
This year's theme - "Portrait of the city I love from a young perspective" is both familiar and profound, clearly showing the love, pride and attachment of students and the young generation to the city where they live and grow up.
The photos were created in the heroic atmosphere of the nation, helping students express their feelings, awareness and inspiration about Ho Chi Minh City after 50 years of development. They contain very humane messages - about the environment, people, urban memories and even future dreams of a developed city that is still rich in identity.
Phuong Nam Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company is honored to accompany the competition for 5 consecutive years.
We always think that sponsorship is not simply material support, but more importantly, it is a contribution to nurturing the seeds of creativity, encouraging the love of art and community awareness for today's generation of students.
