Also attending the ceremony were representatives from agencies under the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Military Region 7, the Border Guard and the family of Senior Lieutenant General Phan Trung Kien.

Comrade Phan Trung Kien joined the revolution at the age of 15, directly fought and commanded battles on the battlefields and achieved many outstanding achievements, including nearly 20 years of participating in the resistance war against the US to save the country. During his 60 years in the Party, regardless of his position, Comrade Phan Trung Kien always maintained a steadfast political stance, was absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; maintained and promoted the revolutionary ethics of a communist, excellently completed assigned tasks, and contributed to improving the overall quality and fighting strength of the Army.

Senior Lieutenant General Phan Trung Kien received the 60-year Party membership badge and a congratulatory flower basket from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense.

Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien affirmed: The 60-year Party membership badge is a noble reward from the Party for the merits and dedication of Senior Lieutenant General, Hero of the People's Armed Forces Phan Trung Kien to the cause of national liberation, construction and defense of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This is an honor and pride not only for Senior Lieutenant General Phan Trung Kien personally, but also for the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and all officers and soldiers of the entire army.
