Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Security, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung congratulated the three officers of Task Force No. 5 on being honored to receive the President's decision and emphasized: United Nations peacekeeping operations are an important and honorable task that the People's Public Security Forces are entrusted with by the Party, State and Government; it is the honor and pride of the Public Security Forces.

Lieutenant General Pham The Tung emphasized that this is a great honor and pride as well as a responsibility for the selected People's Public Security officer, representing the image of the Vietnam People's Public Security force, representing the image of the country and people of Vietnam in the international environment.

The working group needs to maintain political will, exemplary qualities, solidarity, responsibility, promote its own capacity, qualifications, experience, and skills, excellently complete assigned tasks; promote the knowledge it has been trained and coached, quickly grasp the area, maximize its capacity and qualifications to apply for positions at the mission.

From 2022 to present, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security and the Ministry of Public Security have sent 4 working groups to perform United Nations peacekeeping missions at the UNMISS Mission in South Sudan; UNISFA Mission (Abyei Region) and 1 officer working at the Police Department, United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations.

Currently, the Ministry of Public Security is continuing to seek the Secretariat's approval to send officers to perform duties at the MINUSCA Mission in the Central African Republic in 2025. The officers of the Ministry of Public Security participating in peacekeeping activities have all completed their tasks excellently, and have been highly appreciated, recognized, commended, rewarded, and awarded Medals for their contributions to peacekeeping by the United Nations and the missions, and have been recommended by the United Nations to continue their work. Some outstanding officers have been selected and successfully assumed leadership and command positions at the missions and the Police Department, United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations.
