Providing livelihoods for disadvantaged women in difficult economic circumstances

Implementing the program "Accompanying disadvantaged women" launched by the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU), the Provincial Women's Union has just organized the awarding of 5 livelihood models to disadvantaged women members in difficult circumstances in the province.

The Women's Union of Binh Luc district and province gave a livelihood to the family of member Vu Thi Ninh, An Thuan village, An Ninh commune.

The livelihood models awarded include breeding chickens and breeding dogs. Of which, the breeding dog model was awarded to Ms. Vu Thi Ninh, An Thuan village, An Ninh commune, Binh Luc district; the chicken model was awarded to Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyen (Tu Dai village, Chuyen Ngoai commune, Duy Tien town), Nguyen Thi An (Phuc Ha 1 village, Hop Ly commune, Ly Nhan district), Tran Thi Hao (Tan Tin Vong village, Liem Tuc commune, Thanh Liem district) and Nguyen Thi Lan (TDP No. 5, Thi Son ward, Kim Bang town) with a total cost of 10 million VND. Along with that, the Provincial Women's Union also supported members in vocational training, establishing clubs, introducing jobs, accessing capital from the Social Policy Bank, etc.

The implementation of the program and the awarding of 5 livelihood models have contributed to improving the quality of life for disadvantaged female members in difficult circumstances, helping them gradually escape poverty.
