Thus, from 2005 to present, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City has reviewed, submitted for recognition and granted more than 800 pink books to religious organizations, with an area of more than 2 million square meters.
Granting pink books to religious establishments
Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the consideration of granting pink books to religious establishments is also related to a number of issues such as planning and land boundaries of religious organizations. The city hopes to soon grant pink books so that religious establishments can soon exercise their rights such as construction and repair.
According to Mr. Thang, there are religious organizations that have been using land for a long time and need to repair their facilities but do not have pink books. "This is our concern. The Department will try to issue full books to religious facilities next year. If the coordination is smooth and there are no problems, the issuance of pink books will be smooth," Mr. Thang said.
At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Huyen Y, Abbot of Chon Duc Zen Monastery, said he was very moved to receive the pink book. Because the Zen Monastery has existed for 100 years, this is a big milestone for the Zen Monastery.
