On May 29, in Hanoi , the Vietnam Children's Fund in collaboration with Hanoi Children's Hospital organized a ceremony to present a playground and reading room to children being treated at the hospital, contributing to creating a healthy living, learning, playing space and taking care of children's mental health.

This program is part of a series of activities to support children in special and difficult circumstances during the National Action Month for Children of the Vietnam Children's Fund.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund, said that childhood is the most beautiful time of life, but not all children are lucky enough to live in good health and fullness. Creating a healthy playing environment and a warm reading space right in the hospital is a meaningful and humane action, not only helping children forget the pain of illness, but also nurturing their spirit, intelligence and faith in life.

Vietnam Children's Fund appreciates the sharing of companion units who have not hesitated to contribute materially, spiritually and wholeheartedly to bring joy and laughter to children.

Mr. Pham Van Ninh, Deputy General Director of Tan Viet Culture andEducation Joint Stock Company, shared that the donation of a reading room at Hanoi Children's Hospital is a program with profound social significance to add spiritual strength to sick children, helping them have more joy, determination to fight and overcome diseases. The program will contribute to further developing the reading culture for Vietnamese children.

Receiving meaningful gifts from sponsors, Mr. Ngo Quang Hung, Director of Hanoi Children's Hospital, said that the hospital treats more than 600 inpatients and outpatients every day. The playground and reading room not only bring joy to the children and their families but also provide great encouragement to the doctors, nurses and hospital staff when they see the bright smiles of the children.

Along with that, the playground also helps parents, doctors and nurses balance the psychology of children during treatment at the hospital, helping to improve physical ability and recovery.

At the ceremony, through the Vietnam Children's Fund, ABBank donated a playground worth 253 million VND to Hanoi Children's Hospital, and Tan Viet Bookstore donated a reading room worth 150 million VND.

On this occasion, disadvantaged children being treated at the hospital were also given many gifts with a total value of nearly 50 million VND./.
