Deploying many activities of 'National Unity Day'

From September 20 to October 20, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Ho Chi Minh City will launch the second phase of the series of activities "National Unity Day" with the theme "Civilized - Modern - Affectionate City" with a variety of contents, welcoming the 1st Congress of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (term 2025 - 2030), towards the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025) and welcoming the Party Congresses and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels for the term 2025-2030.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that the "Civilized - Modern - Affectionate City" Festival includes activities of organizing, implementing and inaugurating the "City of Colorful Flowers" projects, building and repairing Great Solidarity houses; implementing activities in response to the "Digital Literacy" movement; launching "Solidarity - Affectionate - Self-Management" residential areas; organizing health care activities, giving gifts and nutritious meals to the elderly on the occasion of Vietnam Elderly Day (October 1); implementing the policy of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on organizing "Action Month with Women" associated with the work of caring for women and girls on the occasion of Vietnam Women's Day (October 20); praising typical women in entrepreneurship and innovation.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front system in 168 communes, wards and special zones of the City will also coordinate to organize cultural, artistic and sports activities associated with local cultural traditions, contributing to creating a joyful and united atmosphere in the community; organize a preliminary review of 5 years of implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" for the period 2021 - 2025.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that as of 10:00 a.m. on September 19, 104 units had registered to organize 210 diverse activities, with a total estimated value of approximately 16 billion VND.

The series of activities "National Unity Day" in residential areas in Ho Chi Minh City organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City will be implemented from August 25, 2025 to November 20, 2025, including 4 phases with specific themes suitable for each milestone in commemorating historical events of the country.

Phase 1 of "National Unity Day - National Unity Day" with the theme "Independence Day", celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, will be implemented from August 25 to September 2, 2025 in 168 communes, wards and special zones of Ho Chi Minh City with many rich activities such as flag-raising ceremony, mass performance; organizing Independence Day for local people; taking care of social security, educating historical traditions...

The city also had nearly 5,000 activities to celebrate National Day, attracting the active participation of many people from all walks of life. The total value of caring for and implementing community service projects during this peak period of activities reached nearly 27 billion VND./.
