On the morning of October 25, in Hanoi, the Project Management Board "Integrating climate change resilience and environmental protection to develop green type II cities" (Green City Project), the Department of Environment - Ministry of Agriculture and Environment held the award ceremony of the Photo Contest and Exhibition "Green Moment - Green Action - Green Future".
The contest was launched by the Department of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment in May 2025 with the sponsorship of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, to encourage the community to record meaningful images, spreading messages about green actions, sustainable consumption, environmental protection and climate change response.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment Nguyen Do Anh Tuan emphasized that this is one of the key communication activities of the Project "Integrating climate change resilience and environmental protection to develop green cities type II" of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. The contest is not only an artistic event, but also a spreading journey. Each work is a story, a message. Each photographer, through his lens, has become a "green storyteller", reminding that: A small action today can make a big change for tomorrow; a beautiful photo today can inspire thousands of green actions in the future.
After more than two months of launching, the contest has attracted the participation of many authors across the country. As of August 31, the Organizing Committee has received 963 works, including 860 single photos and 103 photo sets from 192 authors from 26 provinces and cities. As a result, 12 best works were awarded official prizes.
The participating works not only have artistic value but also convey a strong message about the spirit of green action, arousing trust and responsibility to join hands in protecting the environment for a green-clean-beautiful Vietnam, responding to climate change, developing a circular economy , sustainable consumption, green public procurement and low-emission urban areas.
Photographer Vu Anh Tuan, Head of the contest's jury, said that the contest received a large number of participants. The works all contributed to promoting beautiful actions and meaningful good deeds of individuals and groups in society to improve the environment as well as warn about the dangers of pollution affecting life and needing effective solutions.
The photo "Green Urban Gateway" by author Pham Thi Lan Anh, with a gentle view through rows of trees, green vines covering the concrete walls of the road tunnel, creates a cool feeling, reducing stress when vehicles move in and out of the inner city.
In addition, the photo series "Nurturing green seeds - sowing love" by author Nguyen Van Khoi is expressed through the specific and practical actions of organizations, associations, and groups, which have together spread the meaning of creating a greener living environment for the future.
Environment is a unique topic, not easy for many photography lovers, so the selection process also involved the participation and contribution of environmental experts. The jury carefully considered and considered to find quality photos that met the competition criteria for exhibition and awarding. The council decided to award 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 5 Encouragement Prizes out of a total of 50 exhibition photos to the authors.

Immediately after the award ceremony, the photo exhibition "Green Moments - Green Actions - Green Future" officially opened.
The exhibition will run from October 24 to October 31 at the Hoan Kiem Ward Culture, Information and Sports Center (42 Nha Chung Street, Hoan Kiem Ward, Hanoi).
