The school was named Duc Thanh with the meaning of educating young people. The school was founded by patriotic scholars in Phan Thiet in 1907 to respond to the Duy Tan movement initiated by Phan Chau Trinh, Tran Quy Cap and Huynh Thuc Khang in Central Vietnam. Teacher Nguyen Tat Thanh taught here from September 1910 to February 1911.

With his passion and affection, he imparted cultural knowledge and aroused the spirit of patriotism and love for the people to the young generation. These were lessons about the spirit of fighting against slavery; about love for labor, love for the homeland; lessons about "loyalty" and "filial piety" to the people, to the country, to parents and considering the affairs of the people and the country as the affairs of one's own family, both boys and girls must put loyalty and filial piety first...

Since 1978, the old Duc Thanh relic site was restored and in 1983, construction continued on the Exhibition House on the biography and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh on the Ca Ty River, including the exhibition house and the monument to him.

During the photo exhibition, the two museums also coordinated to organize a discussion and professional exchange on the topic "President Ho Chi Minh and the Dien Bien Phu Campaign".
