In March, report to the Prime Minister on tuition exemption for public school students in 2025-2026.

(NLDO)- According to the Government's request, in March 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training must report to the Prime Minister on the implementation of tuition exemption for public school students nationwide.

In the Resolution of the regular Government meeting in February 2025, the Government assigned the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance , agencies and localities to urgently study the implementation of the Politburo's conclusion on exempting all tuition fees for students from preschool to high school nationwide from the beginning of the new school year 2025 - 2026, and report to the Prime Minister in March 2025.

The Ministry of Education and Training is also required to coordinate with agencies and localities to promote communication work, raise awareness and responsibility of the whole society about the role and significance of lifelong learning and the contribution of lifelong learning to improving the quality and competitiveness of national human resources.

At the same time, complete the Program to implement Conclusion No. 91-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee on fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training. Along with that, research, develop and implement the project to build boarding schools for high school students in remote, isolated, border and island areas.

Previously, in the Politburo meeting on February 28 to review and evaluate the initial results of implementing Resolution 18 of the 12th Central Executive Committee on continuing to innovate and streamline the political system's apparatus to operate effectively and efficiently, the Politburo highly agreed on the policy of implementing more strongly, drastically and quickly the contents of Resolution 18 in 2025.

Also at the meeting, after listening to the Government's report on the ability to balance finances during and after the process of streamlining the organizational apparatus, the Politburo decided to exempt all tuition fees for students from kindergarten to high school nationwide. The implementation time is from the beginning of the new school year 2025 - 2026 (September 2025 onwards).

The Politburo assigned the Government Party Committee to direct the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Finance, a number of relevant ministries, branches and localities to coordinate in concretizing and seriously implementing the above decision.
