
The images and publications incorporated into 60 panels displayed and introduced not only affirm the mark and deep cultural exchange relationship between Hoi An, Vietnam and Japan in the past until today, but also demonstrate the recognition of friendly cooperation and effective support from Japanese experts and researchers to preserve and sustainably promote the World Cultural Heritage of Hoi An Ancient Town.
Mr. Pham Phu Ngoc - Director of Hoi An Cultural Heritage Management and Preservation Center said that the economic and cultural exchange relationship between Vietnam and Japan appeared more than 400 years ago when Japanese merchants came to Hoi An to trade and reside, contributing to the prosperity of the urban area - international trading port of Hoi An. Thereby, laying a sustainable foundation for the increasingly developing Vietnam - Japan friendship.

In particular, since 1992, many Japanese managers and experts have come to Hoi An to cooperate in scientific research, coordinate the implementation of heritage conservation projects, environmental protection, investment in service and tourism economic development... bringing about many valuable results.
The exhibition takes place at the Japanese Covered Bridge area from the afternoon of August 2 to the end of August 4.
