However, one day after becoming a millionaire, Clarkson had to return to... unclogging drains for customers. His dream of "early retirement" was quickly shattered because his father did not allow it.

Despite having millions of dollars in hand, Clarkson still drives an old van instead of his dream car.

Clarkson's immediate goal is to become a full-time engineer. His father doesn't want him to be complacent with his fortune. "My dad says there are a lot of millionaires out there who are still working hard and I need a reason to get up every day," Clarkson said.

With the money, Clarkson plans to treat himself to a few holidays and designer clothes. Clarkson also bought a Gucci bag for his girlfriend and two new jackets for himself to look more stylish at work. The young millionaire also helped his parents and relatives pay off their debts.

"My whole family was overwhelmed when I wanted to help them financially. This fortune is not just for me, I want to make sure everyone benefits," he said.

Clarkson will also be buying tickets to every game of his favourite team Manchester City this season. He realises he is luckier than many people in having his own car.

"If you have to travel a lot on the road every day, you will notice the comfort of the steering wheel and the heated seats. Not many people my age can afford car insurance, let alone a van like that to drive," he said.

Clarkson tried his luck on the National Lottery app, randomly selecting the numbers 16, 19, 22, 24, 27 and 35. The choice landed him a coveted sum of money.

Stories about changing one's life thanks to winning the lottery always attract public attention.

In November 2024, a man nicknamed "Big Money D" (from Chicago, USA) made the whole city stir when he won the jackpot worth 650,000 USD (more than 16.4 billion VND) thanks to the meaningful numbers of his late wife.
