Outstanding contributions to education
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc highly appreciated the achievements and efforts of the University of Agriculture and Forestry over the past time.
Besides training, the school is one of the strong units in scientific research, especially applied research. Research results are effectively transferred into production practice.
The school is also a pioneer in international cooperation from a very early age, learning from management, training, and research experiences, while creating conditions for lecturers and students to participate in international exchange programs.
"These comprehensive achievements deserve the recognition of the Party and State, as well as the respect of society for many generations of leaders, lecturers, staff and students of the school," Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Van Phuc emphasized.
In the coming time, Mr. Phuc suggested that the school continue to update its development strategy in line with new policies; promote training in high technology, strategic technology, digital transformation and modern agriculture.
At the same time, promote strengths in applied research, expand cooperation models with businesses, and enhance the transfer and commercialization of scientific products.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc also emphasized the need to develop the teaching staff, especially the PhD staff; focus on investing in facilities and laboratories; innovate management towards streamlining and efficiency, and build solidarity and unity throughout the school.
Innovation for modern agriculture in the future
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tat Toan - Rector of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry - said that over the past 70 years, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry has continuously affirmed its role as a leading training and research institution in the fields of agriculture, forestry and fisheries.

During the development process, hundreds of thousands of engineers, bachelors, veterinarians, masters and doctors graduating from the University of Agriculture and Forestry have directly contributed to the work of hunger eradication and poverty reduction, agricultural restructuring, new rural construction and raising the value of Vietnamese agricultural products in the international market.
Many training programs have met international accreditation standards; the school has also appeared in prestigious university rankings in the region.
In the future, the school will identify a co-creation university model - where the school and businesses jointly develop training programs, conduct research, and transfer science and technology, because education is the root of knowledge, and businesses are the "fertile soil" for knowledge to sprout.

The school identifies key investments in key areas as a key factor for sustainable development, with upgrading infrastructure, equipment, laboratories, practice hospitals and the High-Tech Agriculture Center being effectively implemented.
During the period of university autonomy, ensuring financial resources continues to be a top priority to enhance competitiveness and improve the quality of training and research.
At the same time, the University of Agriculture and Forestry focuses on developing an elite team of lecturers, experts and scientists with high qualifications, global thinking and service spirit to adapt to the context of the new industrial revolution.

In addition to the noble award of the Second Class Labor Medal for the school, Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry is also honored to receive additional state-level awards for individuals with outstanding contributions.
Specifically, Associate Professor Dr. Huynh Thanh Tung was awarded the Second Class Labor Medal, Dr. Bui Ngoc Hung was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal, recognizing their persistent efforts in teaching, research and community service.
The fact that two outstanding individuals were honored by the State is not only a source of pride for each teacher but also affirms the prestige, quality of the staff and tradition of dedication of Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry over the years.
