Danang University of Education - 50-year journey of connection and development

On behalf of the President, Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to the school.

The University of Education - Danang University was established from the predecessor educational institutions established in the early days of the liberation of the South and the unification of the country. In 1994, Danang University was established and the University of Education was one of the first three member schools.

After 50 years of connection and development, the school now has nearly 15,000 students with 34 undergraduate training programs and 35 postgraduate training programs. This is one of the 7 key pedagogical schools in the country, assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to actively participate in the general education innovation program, from program development, document compilation, textbooks, teacher training, and management staff according to the 2018 General Education Program.

Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong spoke at the program.

Speaking at the program, Permanent Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Ngoc Thuong acknowledged, commended and congratulated the school's achievements over the past 50 years.

To continue promoting its pioneering and key role in teaching and training, the Deputy Minister requested the school to focus on a number of key tasks. Accordingly, it is necessary to urgently develop programs, projects, and plans to implement the Party's Resolutions on education and training, innovation, science and technology. Focus on the work of discovering, planning, training, and fostering to improve the quality of staff, lecturers, and scientists.

It is necessary to continue reviewing and updating the training program in an open direction, focusing on developing the qualities and abilities of learners. In particular, it is necessary to soon implement English as a second language in schools, training students to teach subjects in English.

Associate Professor - Doctor Vo Van Minh, Principal of the school received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister.

Schools must consistently improve the quality of education and training; maintain compassion to continuously improve the quality of comprehensive education for students, taking learners as the center of all activities;

Continue to promote the pioneering role in preserving and spreading Vietnamese cultural values; strengthen international cooperation, especially bringing Vietnamese language and culture to the world, contributing to the implementation of Resolution 59-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Politburo on international integration in the new situation.

The school was awarded the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals by the President and was honored to receive many noble awards from the State of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.

On this occasion, the President signed a decision to award the Second Class Labor Medal to the school for its outstanding achievements in training and fostering Lao students in Vietnam and in training and fostering teachers and leaders in the provinces of the Central Highlands, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.

Third-class Labor Medal to the Department of Student Management and Library for outstanding achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.

The school received the Emulation Flag of the People's Committee of Da Nang city.

Associate Professor - Doctor Vo Van Minh, Principal of the school, was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister for his important contributions to the development of higher education; the school was honored to receive the Emulation Flag of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City.
