Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong - Deputy Minister of Health affirmed that Hanoi Medical University always plays a core role in the health human resource training system of the whole country. From this school, tens of thousands of doctors, pharmacists and health workers have grown up, becoming the main force in disease prevention, health care for the people, and carrying out important political and social tasks of the country.
At the same time, Hanoi Medical University is the place that has produced many outstanding scientists and physicians - those who laid a solid foundation for the development of Vietnamese medicine, while spreading the core values of medical ethics, medical skills and the spirit of serving the people.

Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Prime Minister's Certificates of Merit to individuals and groups of the school.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong said that the health and education sectors are facing a period of great transformation, a pivotal period in terms of institutions, operating models and standardization of human resource quality.
Recently, the Party and State have paid great attention to the development of education, training and healthcare, through the issuance of strategic documents such as the Politburo's Resolutions on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; on international integration in the new situation; on breakthroughs in education and training development; on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health.
The Resolutions have put forth many breakthrough policies and strategic directions in education and training of medical human resources.
According to Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW dated September 9, 2025 on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health, the health sector must develop medical human resources to ensure uniformity in quantity, quality and structure, especially human resources serving grassroots health care, preventive medicine, remote areas, disadvantaged areas, especially disadvantaged areas, border areas, and islands; especially implementing specialized specialized training, linked to practice, and emphasizing practical capacity and medical ethics.
Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong presented Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Health to outstanding teachers of Hanoi Medical University.
In parallel, Resolution No. 71-NQ-TW on breakthroughs in education and training development has clearly pointed out the requirement to strongly shift from content-based training to competency-based training, develop an open education system, lifelong learning, and strongly apply digital technology.
"This is the ideological and legal foundation to promote comprehensive innovation in medical human resource training, in the direction of modernization, standardization, integration but still preserving the identity of Vietnamese medicine" - Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong said and added: To institutionalize the above Resolutions of the Politburo, currently the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Training are coordinating to build and complete the draft Laws on education and health to be submitted to the 15th National Assembly at the 10th session such as the draft Law on Education (amended), Law on Higher Education (amended), Law on Disease Prevention, Law on Population...
"We believe that with its 123-year tradition and a team of highly qualified and dedicated lecturers, the School will successfully complete its strategic goals, contributing to building a modern, equitable and effective Vietnamese healthcare system," said Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Lien Huong.
