Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry rewards 9 valedictorians

In addition to 10 million VND, the school's valedictorian also received a motorbike worth 50 million VND.

On October 14, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry held the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year and welcomed more than 10,000 new students.

Information from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry said that this year, the school achieved 98% of the planned enrollment target. The admission scores increased in most majors. The highest increase was up to 2.5 points in the majors of electrical engineering technology, electronics, thermal engineering technology and international law. The two majors with the highest admission scores were international business and economic law with 26 points. Many majors had benchmark scores of 24 or higher.

Last school year, the employment rate of students after graduation reached 91%.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dr. Phan Hong Hai, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, said that with the mission of training students who not only have high professional qualifications but also have enough heart, mind and talent, the school's leaders are always concerned about how to create the best learning environment, have many policies to encourage learning and support students, to help them feel secure during their time studying at the school.

Therefore, since 2023, the school has established a fund to support students according to new criteria. This fund is divided into many types of scholarships, such as scholarships for students with good academic performance, scholarships for new students, and scholarships for students who overcome difficulties and love to study.

The Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry hopes that this fund will receive more support from businesses and philanthropists to promptly reward and encourage students with good academic performance or those who encounter sudden difficulties so that their studies will not be interrupted. He hopes that students will study with peace of mind, strive to practice to be worthy of the trust and support of their families, schools and society.

The leaders of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry called on all staff, workers and students of the whole school to join hands to successfully carry out the tasks of the new school year.
