Ho Chi Minh City University of Law announces the rules for converting equivalent scores for regular university admission methods in 2025.
The subjects that convert equivalent scores are candidates who register according to the school's 3 admission methods. Specifically, including: candidates who have international language certificates or US SAT exam results combined with high school transcript scores (method 2); Candidates studying at schools on the list of 149 high schools with priority for admission in 2025 of Ho Chi Minh City National University, combined with high school transcript scores (method 3); Candidates with V-SAT exam results (method 4).
Difference between graduation exam scores and academic transcript scores, V-SAT exam
The school converts the high school transcript score equivalent to the 2025 high school graduation exam score for each subject group (for method 2 and method 3). The deviation of the subject group score between the high school transcript score and the 2025 high school graduation exam score is determined at many levels depending on each subject group and ranges from 2 to 4.5 points. In which, group D07 (math, chemistry, English) has the highest deviation.
The deviation of the scores of specific combinations is as shown in the following table:
For example, if a candidate has a score of 28 points in the D01 subject group, the difference between the high school report card and the high school graduation exam score in the D01 subject group is 4 points. This means that a candidate with a score of 28 points in the D01 subject group (math, literature, English) in the high school report card will be equivalent to 24 points in the high school graduation exam.
For the conversion of V-SAT test scores, the school also converts them to the equivalent of the 2025 high school graduation exam scores for each subject using the percentile method, combining linear interpolation to convert equivalent score levels according to percentile rankings.
With this method, a candidate who scores 115 in math on the V-SAT exam will be equivalent to 7.05 in math on the 2025 high school graduation exam.
The rules for converting equivalent scores between admission methods of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law are specifically here.
A common floor score after conversion
Ho Chi Minh City University of Law also announced the entrance score threshold (admission floor score) for majors according to the above 3 methods at the converted score level and method 5 based on the exam results in the 2025 high school graduation exam (score without coefficient).
The minimum admission score for each major has many different levels depending on the subject group. In particular, the law major has 3 minimum scores from 18-22 points. The minimum scores for each major are as follows:
