On the morning of May 19, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association held the opening ceremony of an art news photography exhibition with the theme Truong Sa remembers Uncle Ho .
This is also an activity to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Navy Traditional Day (May 7, 1955 - May 7, 2025).
Introducing 70 new photos of Truong Sa
The exhibition Truong Sa remembers Uncle Ho introduces 70 photos by seven authors: Nguyen Trang Kim Cuong, Pho Ba Cuong, Bui Quang Vu, Vu Duy Boi, Tran Dac Hung, Dao Van Su and Pham Duc Minh.
These photographers participated in working trips and took actual photos at Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 platform in April and May 2025.
Each photo is a realistic and vivid slice, capturing moments of daily life, spiritual life, training of soldiers and civilians at the forefront, and the feelings of mainland people sent to Truong Sa.
In particular, the images of Uncle Ho are conveyed by the authors through emotional photographic language, with infinite love such as: Incense burning ceremony in memory of Uncle Ho at the temple on Truong Sa island, sailors burning incense before the ship sets sail...
At the opening ceremony, photographer Vu Duy Boi emotionally recounted his memorable journey to the Truong Sa archipelago. He choked up when remembering the memorial service for the soldiers who died in the Gac Ma naval battle.
"I feel proud when coming to Truong Sa and feel the immense affection of the whole country towards Truong Sa. Whatever can be done for Truong Sa, let's do it today" - photographer Vu Duy Boi shared.

Photographer Nguyen Trang Kim Cuong with her work
Photographer Nguyen Trang Kim Cuong came to Truong Sa for the first time. Because she was not used to traveling by boat, she was so seasick that she could not sit up in the first few days, but when she set foot on the island, she felt better and was able to take many photos.
Photographer Tran Dac Hung told Tuoi Tre Online : "I also took many beautiful moments of soldiers on the islands. If I have the chance, I will continue to come to Truong Sa."

Spreading love for Truong Sa
Mr. Doan Hoai Trung - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association - told Tuoi Tre Online : "Every year, the Navy creates conditions for about 20-30 members of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association to go to Truong Sa to create artistic photos, to promote people's understanding of Truong Sa and the DK1 platform.
With a sense of responsibility, the photographers have new and unique perspectives, especially expressing the feelings of the cadres, soldiers and people of Truong Sa towards Uncle Ho: reading books about Uncle Ho, standing next to his slogans and words, especially the image of Uncle Ho wearing a navy cap appearing on the islands.
