Live broadcast of activities celebrating 100 years of journalism in Quang Binh

On the morning of May 8, the Quang Binh Provincial Journalists Association held a press conference to inform about activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

The activities are expected to take place from now until the end of June, with the following contents: reviewing the glorious tradition of revolutionary journalism; affirming the mission of journalists in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; and at the same time recognizing and expressing gratitude for the contributions of generations of journalists in Quang Binh province through the periods.

The highlight of the series of events is the 100th Anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, which will be held on June 21. The program includes a ceremony with speeches to review traditions, honor and reward outstanding collectives and individuals, and award the "For the cause of Vietnam journalism" medal; the festival is a special art program to celebrate this important event.

In parallel with the celebration, the province will organize a press exhibition to introduce the development process of Quang Binh press, through typical publications and artifacts related to local journalism activities. In addition, seminars and exchanges between journalists and readers and businesses will also be held, along with forums revolving around the theme of press accompanying socio -economic development.

Another highlight is the 19th Quang Binh Press Awards Ceremony in 2024, hosted by the Provincial Journalists Association. The event aims to honor outstanding works that vividly reflect the political , economic, cultural and social issues of the province in the past year. In addition, local press agencies will promote the tradition of revolutionary journalism, introduce portraits of typical journalists and emphasize the role of journalism in the period of integration and digital transformation. According to the Quang Binh Provincial Journalists Association, many of these events will be broadcast live.

According to Mr. Hoang Huu Thai, Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial Journalists Association, the series of activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese revolutionary press in Quang Binh not only aims to honor the journalism profession, but also contributes to raising social awareness of the role and position of the revolutionary press in the cause of developing the homeland and the country. Thereby, it will further motivate the Quang Binh journalists to continue to accompany the Party, the State and the people on the path of innovation and development.
