From 1-7, the official assignment of checking customs documents is automated.

(CT) - The Customs Department has just issued Official Dispatch No. 9689/CHQ-CNTT instructing branches to officially deploy the function of automatically assigning civil servants to check documents on the VNACCS/VCIS system from July 1, 2025.

Customs officers process documents on the VNACCS/VCIS system.

The automatic assignment function is designed to apply to declarations registered on the system and classified into file checking streams (yellow stream). The system operates 24/7 on a sequential rotation principle, automatically assigning officials with the right to check files when a declaration arises, regardless of the business, type or item. This helps ensure objectivity and transparency, while reducing the burden on unit leaders, saving time and reasonably allocating the workload.

In special cases such as sudden absence of civil servants or complex declarations, the assignment can still be adjusted manually to ensure progress. The Customs Department also provides solutions to configure the system and assign appropriate authority to processing units in groups, while guiding businesses to declare the correct department code for accurate assignment.

Previously, this function was piloted and recorded many positive results, helping to reduce declaration processing time, reasonably allocate workload among civil servants, contributing to improving management efficiency, and promoting digital transformation in the Customs sector.
