'Air Deathmatch' leads the box office, 'Red Rain' is about to reach 700 billion VND

Last week, the Vietnamese box office saw a change in rankings due to the appearance of Sky Deathmatch. The action film directed by Ham Tran with the participation of Thai Hoa and Kaity Nguyen just hit theaters and has risen to the top of the box office in terms of revenue.

According to statistics from Box Office Vietnam , as of the evening of September 22, The Battle in the Sky has reached the 78 billion VND mark and is predicted to soon join the "hundred billion club" in the next few days. This achievement of the film is not surprising, because right from the early screenings, the work inspired by the real plane hijacking in Vietnam in 1978 has received positive feedback from the audience.

Despite facing "barriers" on the race track, Red Rain still maintains a stable revenue level. Currently, the work of Meritorious Artist Dang Thai Huyen has reached more than 694 billion VND. With the current growth rate, Red Rain reaching the 700 billion VND mark is entirely possible.

The Conjuring: Last Rites is in third place in terms of revenue over the past three weekends. This is the only foreign film in the top five. Fourth place belongs to director Trung Lun's work Getting Rich with Ghosts 2: The Diamond War , which has now nearly reached the hundred billion mark. Meanwhile, director Le Van Kiet's horror film The Bride Deal is in fifth place.

According to Box Office Vietnam , the rise of domestic films has made Hollywood projects no longer dominant. "This is an inevitable trend of Vietnamese cinema as well as in the region, from Korea, China to Thailand and Indonesia," Box Office Vietnam commented.
