On land, from around the afternoon and night of March 15, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast, North Central and some places in the Northwest, then affect other places in the Northwest, Central Central and some places in the South Central. On land, the wind will gradually change to the Northeast, increasing to level 3-4, coastal areas to level 4-5, with gusts reaching level 6 in some places.

From the night of March 15, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold, with some mountainous areas in the North experiencing severe cold; from around March 17, the area from Quang Binh to Hue will turn cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North will generally be 13-16 degrees Celsius, with some places in the highlands below 10 degrees Celsius; the North Central region will generally be 14-17 degrees Celsius; and the temperature from Quang Binh to Hue will generally be 17-19 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi area: from the night of March 15, the weather will turn cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly 14-16 degrees.

At sea, from the evening and night of March 15, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind will change direction to Northeast and gradually increase to level 7, gusting to level 9, rough seas, waves 2.0-3.5m high; in the North East Sea (including the waters of Hoang Sa archipelago), the wind will be strong Northeast at level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9, rough seas, waves 3.0-5.5m high. From the afternoon and night of March 16, the sea from Quang Tri to Ca Mau will have strong Northeast at level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas; waves 2.0-4.0m high.

Due to the influence of the cold air strengthening, from the evening of March 15 to the early morning of March 16, the Northern and North Central regions will have scattered rain and showers and thunderstorms in some places.

From the night of March 15, the area from Quang Binh to Khanh Hoa will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having moderate to heavy rain.

Thunderstorms may contain tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds.
