Thunderstorms in Tuyen Quang damaged 42 houses

Heavy rain and thunderstorms damaged 42 houses, of which 18 collapsed in Ham Yen district; 23 houses had their roofs blown off in Yen Son district; and 1 house in Tuyen Quang city was damaged by a falling tree. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Heavy rain also caused nearly 20 hectares of forestry trees and vegetables to fall; 6 electric poles to break and fall; causing localized flooding at some points on National Highway 2 and some roads in Tuyen Quang city.

National Highway 2 from Tuyen Quang to Ha Giang is blocked due to many fallen trees.

To overcome the consequences caused by thunderstorms, the People's Committees of Ham Yen and Yen Son districts and Tuyen Quang city directly directed professional staff, in charge of directing communes to grasp the situation and count the damage, mobilize local forces to support affected families, and soon stabilize their lives.
