Since the beginning of April, Truong Bon Relic Site has welcomed nearly 30 thousand visitors.

According to statistics from the Truong Bon Relic Site Management Board, since the beginning of April, this place has welcomed nearly 30 thousand visitors to visit and offer incense in memory, most of whom are groups of students, veterans, former youth volunteers and people from all over the country.

The delegations were guided to perform the incense offering ceremony, listen to explanations about the heroic history of the battle at Truong Bon, and visit the system of exhibits and memorial works. Many delegations recorded their emotional impressions, highly appreciating the dedicated, professional, and humane service of the staff of the Relic Management Board.

Along with the reception work, the Management Board also regularly takes care of and maintains a clean and civilized landscape environment. Currently, in the campus, there are nearly 1,500 souvenir trees planted by organizations and individuals with many typical tree varieties from all regions. The cool green space combined with harmonious architecture and a rich display system has made Truong Bon not only a sacred red address, but also an attractive destination in the cultural - spiritual tourism journey in Nghe An.

The representative of the Management Board of the Relic Site said that in the coming time, in order to continue improving the quality of services and attracting tourists, the Management Board will strengthen the work of preserving and collecting artifacts, connecting tours and tourist routes, and at the same time organizing many traditionaleducational activities associated with major holidays. Thereby, strongly spreading the heroic historical value of Truong Bon, fostering patriotism and national pride.

Truong Bon – the legendary route located on the strategic route 15A during the resistance war against the US – has become a symbol of the spirit of “living on the road, dying bravely and steadfastly”. This place once endured nearly 19,000 bombs, and was the place where 13 youth volunteers of Company 317 heroically sacrificed their lives in a bombing raid at the end of October 1968, when there were only a few hours left before the US ended its bombing of the North. That event wrote a heroic and tragic page in Truong Bon’s history, contributing to affirming the position of this place as a “red address” educating the tradition of patriotism and revolutionary ideals for today’s and future generations.

With its great historical significance, in 1996, Truong Bon was ranked as a National Historical Relic. In 2008, a group of 14 Truong Bon Youth Volunteers were awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forcesby the President .

With the attention and investment of the Party, the State, Nghe An province, ministries, branches, organizations and individuals at home and abroad, the Relic Site has been preserved and restored on an area of ​​over 21 hectares with a total investment of 365 billion VND. This place currently includes many items such as: Memorial house, traditional house, tomb of 13 Youth Volunteers, monument, memorial square, artifact exhibition house... forming a sacred, solemn complex, imbued with culture and history.
