Ready mind
At the exam sites, from early morning, police, militia, and youth union members were present to direct traffic and ensure safety for candidates and their parents. Volunteers guided candidates to the exam rooms on time, provided drinking water, and encouraged them.
After 6am, candidates were present at the exam locations with a happy and relaxed mood but also a bit nervous on the first exam day. Many candidates took the opportunity to review their lessons before the exam.
With mixed emotions, Pham Dang Khoi, Ngo Gia Tu High School (Lap Thach) shared: “Although I am confident with the knowledge I have reviewed, I still feel a bit worried and nervous before entering the exam room. I will try to stay calm and confident to do my best to achieve my goal of passing my first choice to Ngo Gia Tu High School.”
At the Binh Son High School Examination Council (Song Lo), the working atmosphere was urgent and methodical from the beginning of the morning. The Council had 462 candidates registered for the exam, of which 6 candidates were admitted directly. The remaining 456 candidates were arranged in 19 official examination rooms. The work of ensuring security, order, traffic safety, and fire prevention and fighting was implemented synchronously, creating the most favorable conditions for candidates.
Notably, the school's volunteer student team demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, arriving early to support candidates and parents and coordinating with the traffic police in directing traffic and avoiding congestion in front of the school gate. The 68 officers and supervisors at the Examination Council all seriously performed their assigned duties and responsibilities. Important steps such as securing exam papers, preparing exam rooms, medical care, and logistics were fully and thoughtfully implemented.
Chairman of the Binh Son High School Examination Council, Tran Dinh Cong, said: “Preparations were carried out carefully many days in advance, from checking facilities, examination rooms, backup generators to coordinating with police and medical forces. Through the first two exams, everything went smoothly, without any unusual situations; all candidates took the exam, and there were no cases of candidates or invigilators violating exam regulations.”
The sun had just cleared up after a series of days of heavy rain. The weather was hot and humid, but it did not dampen the enthusiasm and optimism of the candidates. Outside the exam area, parents were also nervous and anxious, waiting for their children to complete this important exam.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Dung, Dinh Trung ward (Vinh Yen) confided: “I couldn’t sleep all night, just hoping my child would do well on the exam and do well on the test. Even though it was a 10th grade high school entrance exam, the pressure was greater than the university entrance exam. I’m glad that the first day went smoothly. My child shared that he did well on both exams, so I felt more secure.”
The test is within your ability.
At the end of the first day of the 10th grade entrance exam, the candidates felt quite relieved and happy because they had completed the two exams of Literature and English. Most of the candidates assessed that this year's Literature and English exams were within their ability, ensuring classification with difficult questions requiring students to have more advanced knowledge and good skills to achieve good scores.
Entering the exam room with joy and excitement, Nguyen Khanh Ly, taking the exam at Binh Son High School (Song Lo) said: “The Literature exam was within my ability, interesting and suitable for the knowledge and skills that teachers imparted during the learning and review process. The English exam was not too difficult, with clear differentiation to assess and classify students such as questions on choosing synonyms and antonyms for underlined words and choosing vocabulary. I have done more than 70% of the exam for both subjects. I will continue to try hard in Math on the morning of June 2 to achieve high scores in all 3 subjects.”
Ms. Khong Lan Giang, Literature teacher at Song Lo Secondary School, commented: “This year's Literature exam is in line with the spirit of the 2018 General Education Program; ensuring the correct structure of the sample exam sent by the Department of Education and Training to schools for review in advance. The content of the reading comprehension questions covers the levels of thinking, recognition, understanding and application. The social argumentation questions are quite familiar to students; the argumentation topics are age-appropriate, helping them express their own thoughts, demonstrate their reasoning ability and life knowledge. Most candidates will achieve a score of 6-7, while good and excellent candidates can easily achieve a score of 8.”
Commenting on this year's English exam, teacher Nguyen Manh Hung, Yen Lac Secondary School said: "The exam is good, closely following life events (song Continue writing the story of peace ). The exam closely follows the 2018 General Education program, especially promoting students' language skills such as reading comprehension, speaking skills (in real-life situations), letter writing skills, and argumentative paragraphs. The exam closely follows the program structure and sample exam questions of the Department of Education and Training, and is highly classified."
Comrade Nguyen Phu Son, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2025-2026 school year, said: “This year's 10th grade entrance exam was carefully and seriously prepared.
