With the spirit of “When drinking water, remember its source”, the youth of Binh Phu commune have made positive contributions to the cause of building their homeland. The commune’s Youth Union has built an Action Program in response to the movement of building new rural areas and has attracted a large number of union members and young people to participate in the movements: “Volunteering to develop the economy - society and protect the Fatherland”, “Accompanying young people to establish themselves and make a career”; improving the lives of union members and young people, helping them develop the economy and get rich legitimately is an important task.

Secretary of Binh Phu Commune Youth Union Do Minh Man shared: “We identify youth as not only a training period, but also a period of dedication. More than anyone else, the Youth Union is the core force in the construction of advanced new rural areas in the locality.

Each volunteer project is carefully selected to suit the actual conditions, have practical value and be associated with people's lives. Thereby, the Commune Union effectively implements programs in Volunteer Month, Summer Volunteer Campaign, Green Sunday, Volunteer Saturday... in many forms, with rich and diverse activities.

According to Binh Phu Commune Youth Union, in the past time, Binh Phu Youth Union has undertaken and carried out many projects and tasks, notably: Organizing the removal of illegal advertising and classified ads; clearing bushes and cutting down trees that obstruct the view; planting flowers on the roads; cleaning the grounds of the Monument House to honor the heroic martyrs of Binh Phu Commune, the Ba Rai Victory Historical Site... With that spirit, more than 100 Youth Union members and students directly participated in the activities.

Not only taking the lead in community activities, Binh Phu youth are also the leading force in environmental protection movements, building a beautiful lifestyle, saying no to social evils. From small actions such as: picking up trash, recycling plastic, to organizing classes to propagate drug prevention at school, traffic safety, all are initiated and implemented by the youth with the enthusiasm of youth.

With the spirit of “No one is left behind”, the Commune Youth Union coordinated with students from schools to visit and give gifts to the landslide-affected households in Hamlet 2, Binh Phu Commune. This meaningful action has contributed to encouraging the spirit of “Mutual love and support” to help those in difficult circumstances, contributing to beautifying the image of youth, demonstrating the spirit of community solidarity.

ACCOMPANYING DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

With the spirit of "Where there is a need for Youth, where there is difficulty, there is Youth", the Commune Youth Union organized the launch of a Volunteer Youth Team to support online public services at the Binh Phu Commune Public Administration Service Center to help people access and effectively use digital utilities in handling administrative procedures.

Accordingly, the volunteer force performs the task of sorting and guiding people to carry out administrative procedures according to the process; supporting people to install and use the VNeID application, electronic identification accounts; supporting people to use the National and local Public Service Portal; submitting documents online, looking up results, etc.

The two-tier local government model is being put into operation after the administrative restructuring. In the new context, the workload has increased and the need for technical support, especially in the field of digitalization, is very high. Therefore, having a volunteer force to accompany the commune government is a very meaningful source of support.

Secretary of Binh Phu Commune Youth Union Do Minh Man said that the activity aims to promote the vanguard role of young people in supporting local authorities in implementing the two-level local government model and digital transformation; at the same time, creating an environment for training and dedication for young people, contributing to building digital government and digital society right from the grassroots.

With enthusiasm, initiative and a high sense of responsibility, the volunteer force of the Volunteer Youth Team implementing activities to support the operation of the 2-level local government model and providing online public services in Binh Phu commune is gradually contributing to putting the 2-level local government model into smooth and effective operation, creating a premise for administrative reform and digital transformation at the grassroots level.

With the characteristics of quickly grasping technology and knowing how to apply social networks, the Youth Union of Binh Phu commune is not only limited to administrative work, but is also the most effective policy communication force. Instead of just posting notices on the commune bulletin board as before, now the commune's notices are available on Zalo groups, Youth Union fanpages and shared to each household. Especially, in peak campaigns such as: Issuing ID cards, propagating crime prevention and control, maintaining traffic order and safety... the Youth Union is present.

Although the presence of young people in the administrative apparatus does not replace the role of full-time officials, it is an important highlight, contributing to creating the image of a local government that is friendly, close to the people and serves the people.

The youth of Binh Phu commune are not only the vanguard force on the mass front, but are also gradually affirming their role as accompaniers with the public authority in the process of reforming the local government model. From simple actions such as: Knocking on doors to support document registration, explaining policies to taking on shifts at the “One-stop shop” Department, participating in receiving people, handling documents… all have created a generation of youth who “understand the work, are close to the people and are for the people”.

The homeland is "changing its skin" every day and on that journey, the image of Binh Phu youth is always present: Dynamic, devoted, committed... as the message of our ancestors: "Don't ask what the Fatherland has done for us, but ask what we have done for the Fatherland today".

Through practical work, volunteer activities, the youth of Binh Phu commune have been contributing with the local government, associations and unions to promote all resources in building a rich and beautiful homeland.
