TUY AN: Continue to help disadvantaged communes, villages and poor households

Over the past 10 years, Tuy An District Party Committee has assigned 20 agencies and units to help 25 disadvantaged villages, with a total support budget of nearly 335 million VND. Nearly 1,260 cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees, and military personnel in the district have helped 885 poor households through many activities, such as medical examination and treatment, free medicine, giving seeds of crops and livestock, sponsoring students in difficult circumstances, eliminating temporary housing, visiting and giving gifts to poor households and students in difficult circumstances with a total value of nearly 1.2 billion VND. Thereby helping nearly 140 poor households escape poverty and bringing the local poverty rate down to 2.53% by the end of 2024.

In the coming time, Tuy An district will continue to promote the implementation of the model of helping disadvantaged villages and poor households in the district according to Plan 68-KH/TU of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Plan 66-KH/HU of the District Party Committee Standing Committee. Striving to help 25 disadvantaged villages and more than 200 poor households escape poverty by the end of 2025.
