Germany team gets to listen to famous rapper sing for free at Euro 2024

The DFB invited German rapper Kontra K (real name Maximilian Tibor Albert Diehn) to the team's headquarters in Herzogenaurach, where Kontra K performed a special concert, exclusively for the German national team's players and coaching staff.

Rapper Kontra K performed several of his hits, including "Erfolg ist kein Glück" (Success is not a matter of luck), which has been the unofficial German national team anthem since 2015.

Even though it was a private performance, the sound could still be heard from outside.

German media reported that the team members were delighted to attend the concert. Head coach Julian Nagelsmann was among those who praised Kontra K's enthusiasm.

The 36-year-old strategist shared: "I have listened to the song Erfolg ist kein Glück for a long time. It is difficult to say that I agree with every word, but there are many things that are true in this song. The success of the players is not simply luck, but also a process of effort with sweat and tears."

Erfolg ist kein Glück often creates "fever" with fans and German players at major tournaments. It is known that before training sessions at Euro 2024, coach Nagelsmann also often plays this song for the players to listen to and encourage their spirit.

Through the Euro 2024 group stage, Germany was one of the most impressive teams. They scored the most goals (8 goals) and had the best possession (64.3%).

However, their journey to the championship will be extremely difficult. They are drawn in a group with many strong teams such as Spain, Portugal, France and Belgium.
