On the morning of August 28, in Hanoi , the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the 2023 National Conference of Cultural Officials, chaired by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, with the participation of more than 1,000 cultural officials at 64 locations across the country.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Nguyen Van Hung said that this is an opportunity for officials in the entire industry to look back on the journey they have taken in the context of the whole society understanding culture more fully and deeply.
"What results are the marks for us to continue promoting, what tasks have we not been able to complete, we need to seriously look straight at the truth, thereby creating motivation to innovate, strive to make more efforts, to accelerate to the finish line as soon as possible in the remaining half of the journey", Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized.
The conference listened to 10 outstanding presentations from local departments sharing and introducing typical models in building a cultural environment; experience in state management in the cultural field in localities...
Concluding the conference, Minister Nguyen Van Hung emphasized that after half a term of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on the task of reviving and developing Vietnamese culture, the entire cultural sector has had many bright spots, organizing many cultural, sports and tourism events at regional, national and local levels; meeting people's cultural enjoyment needs, preserving, conserving and promoting cultural and artistic values.
In the coming time, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will advise the Party and the State to complete cultural policies, including submitting them to the Government for submission to the National Assembly for consideration and promulgation of laws on performing arts and cultural heritage; submitting to the National Assembly for approval the National Target Program on cultural revival and development. Focus on building a national cultural index on sustainable development along with the development of cultural industries...
Honoring 78 typical examples in the cultural field
On the afternoon of August 28, at the National Convention Center, the Conference to Commend Typical and Advanced Models in the Cultural Field nationwide in 2023 took place. Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung said that these are 78 typical models in the emulation movement of the cultural sector, with many contributions to the sector and the country through specific quantified work.
78 typical advanced examples were awarded certificates of merit on August 28.
At the conference, Minister Nguyen Van Hung read a congratulatory letter from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. In the letter, the General Secretary assessed that after half a term of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the cultural sector has made many efforts, actively innovated its thinking and working methods; strived to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, and achieved a number of positive and quite comprehensive results in all fields.
In particular, since the success of the National Cultural Conference, the cultural sector has had many practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the 1943 Outline of Vietnamese Culture ; to build and implement the National Target Program on cultural revival and development, and to build Vietnamese people for the period 2025 - 2035.
Coach Mai Duc Chung received a certificate of merit at the conference.
At the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister Nguyen Van Hung presented symbols and certificates of merit to typical advanced individuals.
Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said that over the past years, the culture, sports and tourism sector has made great efforts, with high determination, and resolutely implemented assigned tasks, contributing significantly to the country's achievements.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also expressed his joy and emotion when meeting 78 typical advanced models in the cultural field.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Prime Minister acknowledged and appreciated the dedication and contributions of cultural workers nationwide; warmly congratulated the 78 advanced models honored at the ceremony.
