Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Do Danh Bich, Head of the Physics Olympiad delegation, said that after the Covid-19 pandemic, 2023 is the first year that all Olympic teams will participate directly in the host country. The transition from online exams with virtual experiments to in-person exams for subjects with experimental content such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology requires careful preparation and training for students, especially in practical skills.

Therefore, right from the organization of the team selection exam with experimental subjects, it has been professionally organized, requiring higher practical skills from students. All teams are trained by experienced teachers and experts, with achievements in training excellent students nationwide; and are provided with the best equipment and facilities during the training process.

Expressing his feelings, Nguyen An Thinh, a student who won a Gold Medal at the 2023 International Mathematics Olympiad, shared: The achievements in this year's International Science and Technology Olympiad are a testament to the tireless efforts and endeavors of myself and the students in the team, the encouragement and support from school, friends and especially family, creating a solid foundation for us to focus on studying and taking exams. In particular, the dedicated guidance and instruction of teachers at schools, national teams, Asian and international teams. And above all, it is the attention and facilitation of leaders at all levels of the Party, State, Government, ministries and branches who have provided funding and created conditions for us to access highly qualified teachers with experience in leading teams. The above attention and facilitation are a source of great encouragement and motivation for us.

At the Meeting and Commendation Ceremony, the Ministry of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training to the winning students, teachers who trained the team and outstanding collective representatives.
