In which, the exam organized by Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology attracts the most candidates for admission.
In the Central Highlands region, most candidates take the exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University in collaboration with other units. For example, in 2024, nearly 6,000 candidates from the Central Highlands region (Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Kon Tum provinces) took the exam, increasing to 10,000 in 2025. Among them, many candidates take both exams with the hope of getting the highest results for university admission in 2025.

Student Duong Ngoc Thu Ha, grade 12, Dong Du Secondary and High School (Buon Ma Thuot City) assessed that the exam questions of the 2nd round of the 2025 National High School Exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University were easier than the first round, so she was able to do the test. The exam had quite difficult parts, which were knowledge of subjects she did not study in high school (Chemistry, Biology), so the recognition questions could be done if she read the questions carefully; the application questions were more difficult and almost impossible to do. In return, the questions had knowledge of subjects studied in high school (Math, English, Literature, Economic and Legal Education), so she was able to do the test.
Nguyen Ngoc Huong Linh, grade 12, Ton Duc Thang High School (Krong Nang district) shared that the results of the first round of the exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University (tested in March 2025) she got nearly 800 points. The second round of the exam (tested on June 1) was easier, so she hopes to get a higher score to have a chance to be admitted to Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics.

In addition, some candidates choose to take the National High School Graduation Exam to gain experience. Nguyen Ha My, a student at Cao Nguyen Practice High School (Buon Ma Thuot City), shared that the 2025 High School Graduation Exam is the first exam under the 2018 General Education Program with many new points, so the general psychology of students is pressure, nervousness, anxiety... The results of the High School Graduation Exam are widely used in many schools, including majors and schools of choice, but the method of using the National High School Graduation Exam results is not applied. Therefore, Ha My and many of her schoolmates took the National High School Graduation Exam to gain experience, practice test-taking skills, and prepare for the High School Graduation Exam.
In the 2025 enrollment season, Tay Nguyen University plans to enroll 37 training majors with 7 different admission methods, including the method of using the results of the National High School Exam.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Dai Nguyen, Head of Training Department (Tay Nguyen University) said that using the results of the National High School Exam organized by Ho Chi Minh City National University is one of the important methods because the National High School Exam has a high classification, accurately reflecting the comprehensive capacity of candidates from logical thinking, analysis to problem solving. Therefore, the admission method based on the National High School Exam results is increasingly widely used in many majors at the school.
Along with that, using the results of the National High School Graduation Exam will increase the chances of admission for candidates, especially those who have not achieved optimal scores in the high school graduation exam; at the same time, it will help schools diversify their recruitment sources, contributing to ensuring enough quotas and improving input quality...
