Propaganda and dissemination of the Law on Fisheries

The Provincial Farmers' Association has just organized 3 training courses to disseminate the basic contents of the Fisheries Law to nearly 200 officials and farmer members in Xuan Canh commune (Song Cau town), An Hoa Hai (Tuy An district) and Hoa Hiep Bac ward (Dong Hoa town).

At the training courses, cadres and farmer members were informed about the 2017 Fisheries Law; Resolution 36-NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee (12th tenure) on the strategy for sustainable development of the marine economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045; Government regulations on combating illegal fishing; regulations of international law against IUU fishing; Vietnam's situation against IUU fishing; the EC's yellow card warning through IUU inspections in Vietnam; Vietnam's efforts to implement international commitments on IUU...

Through propaganda, officials and farmer members will limit cases of lack of understanding leading to violations of the Fisheries Law, proactively implement regulations on monitoring the operation of fishing vessels operating at sea and tracing the origin of caught aquatic species, thereby strictly implementing legal regulations when participating in fisheries exploitation.
