Propaganda on saving electricity in hot season

BHG - Currently, the hot weather is taking place severely in our province, Ha Giang Electricity Company (PC Ha Giang) has been proactively implementing many synchronous solutions to promote propaganda on using electricity economically and effectively.

Comrade Bui Minh Dai, Deputy Director of Ha Giang Electricity Company said: Propaganda and economical and efficient use of electricity is one of the strategic tasks that the Company pays special attention to, especially during the hot season - the time when electricity load increases. We clearly identify that raising public awareness and proactively coordinating with all levels and sectors are key factors in spreading the message of economical use of electricity to every household and every business. This is not only the responsibility of the Electricity industry but also the responsibility of the whole society.

In the plan to implement the tasks in 2025, PC Ha Giang will continue to carry out extensive communication activities with rich content and flexible forms. In particular, the widespread dissemination of the "Electricity Saving Handbook 2025" of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to all classes of people, businesses and public facilities is an important highlight. In addition, the Company also closely coordinates with local authorities, press and media agencies and mass organizations to propagate directly as well as through mass media channels such as radio, television, social networks Facebook, Zalo, EVNNPC website and EVN colleague groups. In addition, PC Ha Giang also focuses on propagating and mobilizing agencies, organizations and individuals to install self-use rooftop solar power systems in accordance with the Government's renewable energy development orientation in Decree No. 58/2025/ND-CP.

Along with communication work, the Company continues to strictly implement Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated June 8, 2023 of the Prime Minister on enhancing electricity saving in the period of 2023-2025 and directive documents from EVN, EVNNPC. The dissemination of legal regulations and electricity saving indicators has also been included in the annual work completion assessment of officers and employees, ensuring strict implementation throughout the unit. In early 2025, PC Ha Giang organized a Customer Conference to sign agreements with major customers (consuming over 1 million kWh/year), clearly stating the commitment to use electricity economically, participate in the non-commercial electricity load adjustment program (DR), register the load chart in accordance with the supply capacity of the grid, especially during the peak months of the dry season.

Electricity staff disseminate and propagate to customers with high electricity consumption, committing to reduce load during the hot season.

In order to increase the effectiveness of implementation, PC Ha Giang has been working directly with each customer group to promote specific electricity saving measures: from shifting production time, installing high-efficiency electrical equipment to using on-site power sources during peak hours. This work focuses on groups of households, administrative units, public lighting systems and industrial zones.

According to the plan, the Company will sign a commitment with 100% of customers, including administrative units, public lighting, industrial production and service businesses, to achieve electricity saving targets by 2025. Administrative units will have to ensure a minimum reduction of 5% in electricity consumption compared to the same period, while large production facilities need to develop an energy efficiency plan, conduct periodic energy audits and sign a commitment to reduce load when necessary.

To ensure transparency and efficiency, PC Ha Giang will continue to closely monitor the electricity consumption of each customer group through modern data management systems such as CMIS software, DRMS ​​and the website https://sudungdien.evn.com.vn. Customers with unusual or excessive consumption will be reminded and coordinated with competent authorities to handle according to regulations. At the same time, the inspection and supervision of the implementation of electricity saving commitments will be strengthened, contributing to ensuring safe, economical and efficient use of electricity throughout the province.

In the context of increasing electricity demand, the electricity saving propaganda work of Ha Giang Electricity Company is not only an immediate solution but also a long-term strategy, aiming at the goal of sustainable development and adaptation to climate change.
