Nearly 500 new houses for the poor have been started

BHG - With the basic goal of completing the construction of houses for the poor in the province before September 2 to ensure progress according to the Prime Minister 's request; some households are facing difficulties due to lack of people, long travel distance, scarcity of home or customs and practices that require choosing a date and time to start construction, determined to complete before October 31; the province is resolutely directing and implementing the construction, speeding up the completion progress, and putting many new houses into use.

To date, the province has started construction on 6,836 houses, of which 4,211 have been completed and put into use. The number of working days mobilized to support construction is up to more than 101,200 days. From May 9 to 16 alone, the province has started construction on 461 new houses and put 716 into use. Provincial leaders attended the inauguration of houses for meritorious people in localities, creating a strong spread of the emulation movement to build houses throughout the area; many districts and cities have completed the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses ahead of schedule.

The temporary housing elimination is implemented synchronously through the following programs: Housing construction program for meritorious people, National target program for sustainable poverty reduction, National target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas and the Prime Minister's launching program. In addition, localities have mobilized social resources to build new houses and repair 97 more houses for poor households. Notably, the number of houses under the Prime Minister's launching program after review has increased by 682 houses compared to the initial approval.

In the coming time, the province will continue to direct districts to speed up construction progress, ensuring the completion of the 2025 plan. Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses not only has social security significance but also contributes significantly to sustainable poverty reduction, helping poor households improve their lives.
