Propaganda and mobilization of people to practice civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals

On the morning of November 6, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department coordinated with Minh Tan commune to organize a conference to propagate and mobilize people to practice civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals; and identify some new religious phenomena in the province.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Minh Tan commune, representatives of the Department of Culture and Sports , and socio- political organizations of the commune.

Comrade Dang Anh Tuan, Provincial Party Committee member, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, spoke at the conference.

At the conference, delegates heard two topics : Current situation, tasks and solutions to propagate and mobilize people to practice civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals in the province; identify some new religious and belief phenomena today.

In particular, focusing on propagating to the people to build a progressive wedding culture, shortening procedures, in accordance with national culture; organizing funerals thoughtfully, civilly, economically , performing death certificates according to regulations, organizing burials or cremations at appropriate times, burials in planned cemetery areas; not taking advantage of festivals to commit illegal acts and superstitious acts , focusing on environmental protection, strictly managing business and service activities during the holidays; providing information on the situation and results of religious and belief work in the province, identifying 13 new types of religions today; solutions to combat strange religions...

Through the topics, local mass mobilization cadres can grasp new information, orient their mobilization and propaganda work towards modernity, interaction and dissemination , raise awareness of compliance with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State , gather and unite people to practice a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals and understand more about beliefs and religions.

In particular, equipping them with skills to handle and resolve violations of regulations and issues arising from new religious phenomena operating illegally, causing political instability at the grassroots level , contributing to building a cultural and united community, maintaining political security and social order and safety in the area.
