Hong Linh Town rewards 42 outstanding collectives and individuals in the movement for the poor and eliminating temporary housing

On the afternoon of May 28, the Steering Committee of the National Target Program of Hong Linh Town and the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the town held a conference to review and evaluate the implementation of the national target program on sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2021-2025, and to review the program on the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.

Implementing the National Target Program on Poverty Reduction in 2024, Hong Linh Town has devoted many resources to poverty reduction and social security such as: education policy, electricity policy, health insurance, etc. These policies have actively contributed to the successful implementation of the socio -economic development goals, sustainable poverty reduction, ensuring social security, improving and gradually improving living conditions for people in general and the poor and near-poor in particular.

Staff of the Transaction Office of the People's Credit Fund of Hong Linh town visited and inspected the buffalo and cow farming model of Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan's family in Hong Lam village, Thuan Loc commune (striped shirt).

Through the poverty reduction model project that was built and implemented, many poor households have had direct access to support resources and boldly invested in production development, creating people's participation and mobilizing more local resources.

In the process of implementing the models, initially helping local officials and people improve their awareness, management knowledge, project organization and implementation skills and access to science and technology, thereby changing people's awareness, helping them have the motivation to strive to work to escape poverty.

By the end of 2024, the poverty rate in Hong Linh town will decrease to 1.45%, and the near-poor rate will decrease to 2.16%.

Hong Linh Town leaders presented a symbol of support for housing construction to Ms. Cao Thi Duong's household in Duc Thuan ward.

According to the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Hong Linh Town, in 2025, 43 houses in the town were approved for financial support under the Program for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses. Of these, 16 houses are for meritorious people and 27 are for poor and near-poor households. The total resources to support the construction and repair of houses are nearly 5 billion VND, of which the State supports nearly 2.5 billion VND.

Along with State resources, the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in the Town has directed specialized departments, committees, Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front and organizations to call on organizations and individuals to mobilize socialized resources in cash, construction materials and working days with a total value of more than 3 billion VND to support the construction of houses for meritorious people and poor households in the area.

Up to now, Hong Linh Town has completed the construction of 43/43 houses for people with meritorious services and poor and near-poor households in the area.

Recognizing the achievements of collectives and individuals in the emulation movements "For the poor" and joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the People's Committee of Hong Linh town awarded certificates of merit to 9 collectives and 8 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "For the poor - leaving no one behind in the period 2021 - 2025"; awarded certificates of merit to 8 collectives and 17 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Hong Linh town in 2025".
