The US Dollar Index (DXY) measures the greenback's movements against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF) at 106.67, up 0.06%.

The US dollar rose slightly, while US Treasury yields fell, after new economic data raised concerns about the growth outlook for the world's largest economy.

In addition, US consumer sentiment also fell more than expected, to a 15-month low, and inflation expectations jumped.

The yield on the 10-year US Treasury note fell about 8 basis points, while US stocks plunged. The DXY index hit 106.16 at one point, its lowest level since mid-December 2024, in the last trading session.

The DXY index has fallen more than 3% from a more than two-year high hit in January 2025.

Compared to the Japanese Yen, the USD increased by 0.31% to 149.76.

The British pound edged up 0.04 percent to $1.2634, after hitting a two-month high of $1.269.
