The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just announced the number of students registering for admission and the structure of the 6th grade exam at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School for the 2025-2026 school year.

Accordingly, 4,851 students have registered for admission to grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School for the 2025-2026 school year. With a target of 350 students, the competition rate for admission to this school is about 1/14.

Meanwhile, in the 2024 admission season, 4,301 students registered for grade 6 admission at this school and the competition ratio was about 1/12.2.

Thus, the competition rate for grade 6 at Tran Dai Nghia School this year is higher than last year.

The above students who registered for grade 6 admission will take the assessment test on June 16. The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training is responsible for compiling the content of the test, organizing the supervision and grading of the grade 6 test.

Mr. Nguyen Bao Quoc, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, informed that the 6th grade exam at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School includes 2 parts: Multiple choice and essay. The exam content is about English and Vietnamese language skills - writing; mathematics and logical thinking; natural sciences; social sciences: history - geography; common sense of life.

In the multiple choice part, candidates take a 20-question test in English in 30 minutes. The content of this part is about understanding natural sciences, social sciences and common sense.

In the essay section, candidates will take the test in 60 minutes. The content includes testing English proficiency in listening, reading, and writing skills; math and logical thinking skills; reading comprehension and writing skills (candidates will take the test in Vietnamese).

Based on the results of the survey, the Department will consider from high to low until the quota is met. Students who do not pass the 6th grade entrance exam at Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School will still be considered for 6th grade admission according to the regulations of the enrollment steering committee of districts in Ho Chi Minh City.
