Since being put into the starting lineup by coach Ruben Amorim, Lammens helped the "Red Devils" win all 3 matches in the Premier League: 2-0 against Sunderland, 2-1 at Liverpool and most recently a 4-2 victory against Brighton in round 9 of the Premier League on the morning of October 26.
Against Brighton, Lammens made three saves and recovered the ball 13 times. Despite conceding two goals, the 23-year-old still impressed with his quick reflexes and ability to control the penalty area.
Commenting on BT Sport , former player Owen Hargreaves praised the Belgian goalkeeper: "He makes a difference for the team. Not only in terms of expertise but also in the confidence the defense shows when Lammens is behind him."
Previously, coach Amorim also emphasized Lammens' influence at MU: "He played great. Lammens' impact surprised me a bit, because this time of the team is not easy with many debates surrounding the goalkeeper position. However, he has faced the pressure very well thanks to his composure."
In the context that MU has had many problems in the goalkeeper position since the beginning of the season, Lammens' stable performance brings necessary peace of mind to his teammates and coaching staff.
