The Vietnam U16 team is in China, preparing to compete in the CFA Team China 2025 International U16 Tournament. The team's schedule includes matches against U16 Australia (1:00 p.m. on May 28), U16 China (6:35 p.m. on May 30) and U16 Saudi Arabia (1:00 p.m. on June 1).
At noon on May 27, a press conference was held before the tournament. Head coach of Vietnam U16 Cristiano Roland shared: "We are very happy to return to the tournament and have had 2 weeks of preparation before coming here.
The tournament is a useful opportunity to help Vietnam U16 prepare for the 2026 Asian U17 qualifiers.
The teams participating in this tournament are all strong opponents, so we will try our best to have the best performance in each match."
In the technical meeting to determine the professional work of the tournament, the organizing committee agreed to allow each team to replace a maximum of 6 players in 3 substitutions and not count the right to replace players during the break between the two halves.

The Vietnam U16 team arrived in China on May 25 and had 2 days of training in Hohhot city (Inner Mongolia) - the venue of the tournament.
The weather here is quite ideal with temperatures ranging from 23 - 28 degrees Celsius. The coaching staff is also satisfied with the host country when ensuring favorable conditions for the team to get acquainted and adapt to training and competition conditions.
Although the tournament is a friendly tournament, coach Roland still emphasized to the whole team the spirit of seriousness, concentration and making every effort when having the opportunity to wear the national team jersey, striving to achieve the best results in each match.
According to plan, this afternoon, the whole team will have a practice session at Football Channel stadium at 3:30 p.m. (Vietnam time).
