This is the second and final friendly match before Vietnam U17 enters the AFC U17 Championship finals in Saudi Arabia in April. Like the first leg, the two teams will continue to play behind closed doors to facilitate the coaching staff. Both Vietnam U17 and Oman U17 will take full advantage of the opportunity to review their squads, test their formations and tactics.
The training trip in Oman, including two matches against the home team (both won 1-0), brought many valuable gains to coach Cristiano Roland and his team.
Before going to Oman on March 23, U17 Vietnam won 3-0 and lost 1-2 in practice matches with PVF Center's youth team and Bac Ninh Second Division team.
Vietnam U17 will soon depart for Saudi Arabia to compete in the Asian Cup. The team will compete with Australia, Japan and UAE in Group B with the goal of finishing second in the group. From this year's tournament, the top two teams in the four groups will qualify for the quarter-finals and the U17 World Cup.
