Seed pot number two includes Myanmar, Malaysia and Cambodia. Seed pot number three includes Timor Leste, Philippines and Laos. Meanwhile, Singapore and Brunei are in seed pot number four.

With this seeding method, the U22 Vietnam team will certainly avoid host Thailand and defending champion Indonesia in the group stage.

The toughest group for coach Kim Sang Sik's team at the 33rd SEA Games is the group with Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore. The easiest group we could have would be Cambodia, Timor Leste and Brunei.
