To prepare for this important match, U23 Vietnam returned to the training ground after spending a whole day resting and recovering their physical strength with light exercises in the gym. The players quickly regained their physical and mental condition.

All the "Golden Star warriors" are very focused and showing great determination to complete the championship "hat-trick".

During the training session on the evening of July 27, Coach Kim Sang-sik received good news when players with minor injuries such as Ly Duc, Dinh Bac and Quoc Viet returned to normal training and completed the entire training plan set out by the coaching staff.

Sharing before the training session, striker Nguyen Dinh Bac emphasized the spirit and determination of the whole team.

“This is a very important match. I feel that the whole team is well prepared and in good spirits. We have carefully analyzed the playing style of U23 Indonesia. They are a strong opponent with many quality players. The whole team will play with the utmost determination and passion,” said Dinh Bac.

The best striker of the semi-final also confirmed that he is ready to play if given the opportunity: "I feel like I am gradually returning to good form. If I get to play, I will give my all for the country."

When asked about the pressure from the home team's audience, Dinh Bac shared: "Many of us have competed in the U19 tournament here, so we are not too surprised. The team spirit is very determined, ready to put aside all external factors to focus on competing, bringing glory to the Fatherland."

Dinh Bac also frankly admitted that finishing ability is an area that the whole team needs to improve: “We missed quite a few chances in the last matches, and so did I. In the remaining two training sessions, the whole team will try to regain the feeling of scoring goals to be ready for the final match.”

During yesterday's training session, Coach Kim Sang-sik focused on honing tactical moves, adjusting the team's formation and attack-defense plans, and improving finishing to help the team prepare thoroughly for the upcoming important match.

Regarding personnel work, the Korean coach is also making careful calculations to choose the optimal squad, ensuring a balance between experience, form and physical condition.

According to the schedule, the final match between U23 Vietnam and U23 Indonesia will take place at 8:00 p.m. on July 29 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

This is the third consecutive time that U23 Vietnam has participated in the final match of the Southeast Asian U23 tournament, after winning the championship twice in 2022 and 2023.

In the final match between the two teams two years ago, U23 Vietnam defeated U23 Indonesia 6-5 in a lucky penalty shootout to win the championship./.
