Hoang Thuy Livestock Cooperative, Mau Lam Commune is one of the typical units in applying high technology to livestock farming according to safe value chains. Mr. Nguyen Danh Hoang, Director of Hoang Thuy Livestock Cooperative, shared: "The Cooperative was established in 2020, with 9 members. The members of the Cooperative have joined together and built 2 barns to develop chicken farming in the direction of biosafety. On average, each batch, the Cooperative raises about 300,000 commercial chickens, thousands of egg-laying hens... To control diseases well as well as improve productivity and product quality, the Cooperative always adheres to a closed livestock farming process, applying high technology".

Accordingly, all food in the warehouse is processed through a disinfection system before mixing to minimize harmful bacteria and viruses and reduce costs in animal husbandry. The cooperative is also equipped with modern disinfection and spraying machines to ensure disease prevention. The brooding area for chicks is equipped with high-tech light bulbs, both for heating and disinfecting the flock. The livestock barn system always has ventilation and air extraction fans to ensure suitable temperature and humidity and cleanliness. Thanks to the application of high technology with processes to ensure hygiene and disease safety, each year the cooperative supplies the market with more than 300 tons of commercial chickens and tens of thousands of eggs. Annual revenue reaches from 6.5 to 7 billion VND.

Thanh Hoa is a locality with a total herd of livestock and poultry that is among the top in the country. According to statistics from the Department of Agriculture and Environment, there are currently 619 livestock farms in the province, of which 170 are processing farms that meet the criteria according to Circular 02 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ; the rate of pig and chicken farms applying automation and semi-automation technology reaches 88% of the total number of farms. Notably, in the province, there are 72 enterprises and 30 production entities that have developed large-scale livestock farms. At the same time, deploying sensor systems, air conditioning, automatic feeders, and 24/7 surveillance cameras helps increase livestock efficiency and reduce the risk of disease, contributing to ensuring product quality and export conditions.

Currently, in the province, 269 livestock linkage chains have been formed with livestock such as poultry, pigs, buffaloes, cows... Livestock linkage chains have been established by a number of large enterprises such as: Japfa Vietnam Group, CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company, Phu Gia Agricultural Products Joint Stock Company, Vinamilk Vietnam Dairy Joint Stock Company and TH Group ... Along with that, small and medium enterprises in the province also actively participate in developing poultry farming according to the production and consumption linkage chain, such as: Industrial chicken egg production and supply chain of Phuc Vinh Clean Food Company Limited, Happy Farm Vietnam Agricultural Services Joint Stock Company deploys production and consumption linkage chain, processing with 50 free-range chicken farms... It is worth noting that the systematic investment and modern technological equipment in production not only improve the productivity and quality of the value chain but also gradually change people's thinking from traditional production, according to experience in high-tech livestock farming, according to the value chain.

In recent years, Thanh Hoa province has been creating conditions for large enterprises and corporations to build factories, sign contracts with farms and livestock households to develop linkage chains, take on the role of organizing production, providing scientific and technical advances and consumption markets... Besides, localities have also built clusters and concentrated livestock farms, focusing on implementing disease-safe livestock farming measures; creating favorable conditions to attract businesses to invest in livestock development. On the other hand, the initiative and flexibility of livestock farmers in investing in infrastructure and modern machinery, doing a good job of ensuring hygiene in livestock farming, ensuring linkage contracts with businesses... have been contributing to completing the goal that by the end of 2025, the whole province will have 50% of the total poultry herd linked by corporations and businesses to produce, process and consume according to the value chain set by Thanh Hoa's agricultural sector.
