The merger of administrative boundaries has posed many challenges, but at the same time opened up opportunities to standardize and develop centralized economic models. Faced with that reality, the Commune Farmers' Association has quickly consolidated its organization, turning challenges into motivation. The first Congress of the Song Lo Commune Farmers' Association, term 2025 - 2030, clearly identified the goal of focusing on the emulation movement for good production and business. The Association has promoted its leading role by reviewing and consolidating 36 grassroots branches, to ensure that all members have access to information and development opportunities.

From the loan to create jobs, Mr. Nguyen Van Hien's family in Bang Phu village, Song Lo commune invested in raising pigs, cows, and raising fish. After deducting expenses, they earn a profit of 400 - 500 million VND each year.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tam - President of the Farmers' Association of Song Lo commune said: "The merger requires synchronization in working methods and sharing of production experiences. We have focused on professional training. In a short time, nearly 200 officials who are Executive Committee members, Branch Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, and outstanding members have participated in training courses on Association work, supervision skills, and participation in new rural construction. This is the core force, the locomotive leading the movements, including the movement of farmers competing in production, good business, solidarity to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably."
To continue promoting and improving the quality and effectiveness of the movement, the Commune Farmers' Association has mobilized over 1,000 households to register as good production and business households. Through evaluation, 341 households have achieved the title of good production and business at all levels, including many typical examples with good and creative initiatives and methods. The models have created regular jobs for hundreds of workers with an average income of 500 million VND to more than 1 billion VND/household/year. Through the movement, many new models have emerged that have attracted investment attention from all levels and sectors, such as: Growing seedless black grapes combined with growing ornamental plants by member Le Khac Hanh in Khoai Tho village, earning an income of 1 - 1.5 billion VND/year, creating regular jobs for 10 workers, bringing high economic value... creating a stable, high-quality source of raw materials to meet market demand.

Not only in economic development, the spirit of solidarity to help each other get rich of farmers in Song Lo commune is also clearly shown in the work of preventing and fighting natural disasters. In 2024, when typhoon Yagi hit the area, causing serious damage, the Commune Farmers' Association quickly established rapid response teams of 120 members. With timely mobilization, more than 3,000 sacks and more than 100 members were urgently mobilized to support the reinforcement of the dike in Tu Yen area. In addition, the teams also supported people to move flowers and ornamental plants in the craft village of Khoai Trung (Duc Bac), and harvest crops when flooded. Thereby, demonstrating the consensus and mutual support of farmers in the commune, in line with the goal of the movement of solidarity and mutual assistance.
The movement of farmers competing in good production and business has contributed to strengthening the great solidarity of the people in Song Lo commune after the merger. With steady steps and solidarity, the Commune Farmers' Association is confident in promoting the emulation movements, becoming one of the bright spots in sustainable agricultural economic development in the province in the coming time.
