UAE explores investment environment in Dong Nai

(DN)- On the morning of June 18, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc had a meeting and worked with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to Vietnam (UAE Ambassador) Bader Almatrooshi. Also attending the meeting were leaders of departments, branches and enterprises in the province.

Exchanging information with provincial leaders, UAE Ambassador Bader Almatrooshi said that in 2024, Vietnam and the UAE upgraded their relationship to a comprehensive partnership, marking an important step forward in bilateral relations between the two countries. In particular, the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the UAE has created favorable conditions for Vietnamese goods to access the Middle East market.

During his working trip to Dong Nai , Mr. Bader Almatrooshi hoped to receive more information about the needs and investment environment in Dong Nai to introduce to UAE businesses in the near future.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc introduced the potentials and advantages of Dong Nai province. According to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, in recent years, with the advantages of location and convenient transportation, the spearhead is industrial development to create breakthroughs, the economic growth rate of the province has always been high and stable, averaging 8%/year.

Dong Nai is one of the leading industrial development provinces in Vietnam. Up to now, Dong Nai province has 37 industrial parks established. Dong Nai has 50 countries and territories investing in a total of over 1,700 projects. Total registered investment capital reached over 36 billion USD.

Vietnam and the UAE established diplomatic relations in 1993 and are currently Vietnam’s largest trading partner in the Middle East. The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee believes that the cooperative relationship between the two countries will continue to develop more strongly.

With the motto “Government accompanies businesses”, Dong Nai always welcomes and creates the most favorable conditions for international investors, especially from the UAE - a country with many strengths in high technology, energy, logistics, smart cities, finance, banking and education and training...
